Peer Support & Advocacy Network
NAMI Rio Grande Valley is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an association of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations, and volunteers who work in our communities to raise awareness and provide support and education to those in need.

Who We Are
We are a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with mental illness, their families, and friends. We are a self-help, support, and advocacy organization dedicated to helping persons affected by mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, compulsive/anxiety, and other disorders.

Our Mission
NAMI Rio Grande Valley is committed to advocating for equitable services and treatment for consumers and their families in the Rio Grande Valley. This is accomplished through regularly scheduled support groups, educational events, and advocacy efforts.

Our Vision
The goal of NAMI Rio Grande Valley is for the RGV community to be educated with the facts. Mental illnesses are biological brain disorders that respond to treatment, which allows consumers to live productive lives of recovery.
